Recirculating; this particular type of valve releases pressure into the system before the inlet of the turbocharger. The benefit of this blow off valve is it allows the pressure to vent back to the inlet. It is more commonly used for vehicles which need to comply with noise and emission controls. Can also be used as an atmospheric by using the provided trumpet.
